Mauk Kham Wah: Retrieving The Dead

We offer our heartiest congratulations to Mauk Kham Wah for receiving the World Press Photo Award in the singles category for Asia and Oceania for his photo “Retrieving the Dead”. Mauk Kham Wah is a photographer, filmmaker and activist from Myanmar who received the Exile Hub’s Critical Voices Grant in 2022. At great personal risk, he spent a year with people who had joined the People’s Defense Forces in Karenni state.
