Celebrating Pride Month in Bangkok

In early June 2024, Exile Hub’s Fellows proudly participated in the Pride Festival in Bangkok, celebrating Pride Month with a strong presence and unwavering support for LGBTQIA+ rights. Our Fellows joined thousands of participants from diverse backgrounds to honor love, equality, and the ongoing struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights in Southeast Asia.

The festival, which took place in the heart of Bangkok, featured a parade, live performances, and various cultural activities. Exile Hub’s Fellows were actively involved in several key events, including the Pride parade, where they marched with colorful banners and signs advocating for equal rights and condemning the international community’s compliance in selling jet fuel to the Myanmar junta. This fuel powers aircrafts used to kill innocent civilians, including women and children, in cold blood.

Our Fellows’ participation was a powerful statement of solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community, highlighting the intersection of LGBTQIA+ rights with other human rights issues. Their courage and dedication continue to inspire us all. Let us carry forward the spirit of Pride Month throughout the year, championing the rights and dignity of every individual.
